Mill Farm House Featured in Homebuilding & Renovating
A Bold, Contemporary Home in the East Midlands Countryside
I’m really proud to share that Mill Farm House has been featured in the latest issue of Homebuilding & Renovating magazine.
This project was a special one for me - a striking, modern family home set on the edge of a conservation village in East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. From the beginning, the vision was to create something that felt sculptural and confident, but also deeply rooted in its rural context. The result is a house that feels both contemporary and timeless, minimal yet warm.
The house is wrapped in a combination of natural and black-stained larch cladding, giving it a strong sculptural form that changes character throughout the day. Deep reveals, crisp detailing, and a restrained material palette help it sit confidently in the landscape while feeling warm and tactile up close.
It’s a huge honour to have this project featured by Homebuilding & Renovating, a publication I’ve admired for years. Their team really captured the essence of what I was trying to achieve with Mill Farm House — something modern, honest, and rooted in place.
Thanks as always to the amazing clients who trusted me to bring their vision to life, and to the brilliant team who contributed to the project.
